Merrill John Kirby born on Nov 20, 1947 in Emery County Utah to John Merrill Kirby and Leah (Gordon) Kirby, passed away Oct 31, 2019 surrounded with love by his family in northern California.
A resident of Mt Shasta, CA and known to many around the world as “John the Wand Maker”, he was a talented builder, creator, musician, farmer and explorer. John had passion for many things in life but mostly he loved his family, nature, exploring the Henry Mountains, learning and sharing his work. A devoted father, grandpa, father in law, step-father, friend and husband. He met life with humor, openness, creativity, feeling, hard work and service to others. He will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to have met him.
He is survived by his wife Martha Moreno and his four children – Chris Kirby (Reyanna) and their three children Josh, Caleb, and Jacob. Nina Kirby and her two daughters Rayne and Akasha. Joshua Kirby (Chloe) and their five children Hannah, Maizer, Asher, Ender, and Archer. Mia Kirby (Patrick Park) and their son Luca.
