Hitting the track running last week, Price native Robbie Mitchell managed a second-place finish in Round 3 of the 2017 WORCS Season in Taft, Calif.
Despite changing carburetors just prior to making his way to the starting line, Mitchell managed to find his way to the front end of the race, taking hold of third place early in the race.
Taking an advantage after an opponent dropped to the pits, Mitchell was able to finish second overall at the event.
“I finished with a solid second, which feels like a win after Primm and the struggles this morning,” Mitchell shared.
Mitchell’s next rounds of action will come on March 17-19 in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. as he races in the fourth and fifth events of the season.
