The Carbon Lady Dinos soccer team finished 11-7 overall last season, with a 9-5 record in 3A Region 12. The team had an accumulative 41 goals scored and only 17 goals scored against them. The team made it to the Quarterfinals, but fell to the Ogden Tigers, who would later become the state champions.
The returning players this year will include sophomore Blythe Bradford, who had 10 goals scored last season. She finished the season with 32 shots on the goal and three assists. Junior Bailey Johnson will also be returning and had six goals scored last season, along with 12 assists and 42 shots on the goal. Some other notable retuning athletes are Chrissy Jones, Taree Pressett, Emma Bowman, Kenzie Morgan, Maggie Truman, Lydia Lancaster and Andrea Swasey.
The team will have two pre-season games against the Millard Eagles and Union Cougars. Then it’s on to region play. The team will see each of their region opponents twice throughout the season: Canyon View (13-1), Manti (11-3), Delta (9-5), Richfield (6-8), Juab (5-9), North Sanpete (3-11) and Emery (0-14).
