July 23 – Nine Mile Canyon Road Paving Project Update:
Nielson Construction paving crews are currently working between mile posts 31 and 37 near the Harmon Canyon intersection. Construction will continue during daylight hours, Monday-Thursday. There will not be work in the canyon on Fridays unless rain or other events during the week creates as loss in reaching the quota in tonnage of asphalt laid. In this case, crews will also work on Friday.
Crews will be working on Thursday, July 24.
Flaggers will be present controlling traffic and travelers should expect 30-45 minute delays each direction. Paving will be ongoing throughout the summer months. To ensure everyone’s safety, please pay attention to the signage and watch for haul trucks, workers and flagging personnel while traveling through the canyon.
