Sporting the best win percentage in the state of Utah at .947, the Emery Lady Spartans welcomed in 3A’s worst team to Castle Dale Tuesday night. North Sanpete, owners of a 0-18 record, was no match for the Lady Spartans, losing the contest 73-16.
A total of 11 Lady Spartans scored in the game, led by Kinlee Toomer with 16 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. By halftime, Emery led by a whopping 44-4 margin.
Kacelyn Toomer was next up with 15 points. Megan Jensen chipped in eight points and 10 boards.
In two games this season against North Sanpete, Emery has outscored the Hawks 152-41.
Emery (18-1, 8-1 Region 15) will travel to Manti (2-16, 1-8 Region 15) on Thursday for a matchup with the Templars. Emery beat Manti 81-18 back on Jan. 11.
