Carbon County Commissioners approved Wednesday a reduction in tippage fees that would translate in to 50-cent-per-garbage can savings for Carbon County residents.
The reduction was based upon the 2011 ECDC rate reduction from $22 to $17 per ton. The 50-cent savings would be on a monthly basis.
Commissioners also approved architects and engineering firms for three major County projects.
The projects included a Fairgrounds irrigation system, the re-engineering of the current airport runway and hangar, and the design and construction of a new County Courthouse/Administration Building near 700 E 100 N.
