Ora Maxine Wells (91) passed away from natural causes on April 11, 2023. Maxine was born in Price, Utah on December 5, 1931 to LaVell and Emma Lambson. Maxine went to cosmetology school in Salt Lake where she earned her beautician license. She entered several hairstyles in the Utah Fashion Counsel competition where she won several first-place awards and was invited to become a judge on the panel. Maxine raised 5 children, Kriss (LaMont), Ken, Kevin (Lynette), Kerry and Keith with her husband, Ross Wells, who she married on September 9, 1950.
Maxine continued her career in hairstyle throughout her life, which included opening her own beauty shop just off Main Street in Price. Maxine was dedicated to making sure her kids had everything they needed, and she never missed a football, baseball, basketball game, wrestling event, or band performance. Maxine moved to Southern California in 2013 and told everyone that she was going on vacation for the rest of her life. Maxine was a friend to everyone, which made shopping trips much longer than normal but always left people with a newfound friend and a smile on their faces. Maxine loved to travel and enjoyed visiting other places. Anyone who knew her will miss her smile, her contagious laugh but most of all her love and kindness.
Maxine is preceded in death by her husband Ross, brother Doctor Bruce L Lambson, sister Bonnie Rae Migliori, three sons, Ken, Kevin and Kerry, her grandson Justin Wells and her beloved dogs, Pepper, Nick, Helen, Vicky and Missy.
Maxine requested that there be no public viewing or funeral. Interment was in the Cliffview Cemetery in Price, Utah next to her sons Ken and Kerry Wells.
