Orangeville City is having a problem with vandalism in the park.
The city would like to curb the problem by asking park visitors or passers by to report anything they see that may be out of place.
The vandalism includes broken padlocks on power boxes, destroyed swings, smoking in the restrooms, destroying building and pavilion roofs, and uprooted flowers. Assailants have also moved picnic tables to help with climbing on top of roofs.
The city is asking parents to be alert while at the park and report any destruction. The city would like to remind everyone that it is a public park, and tax dollars must be used to fix the vandalized areas.
Anyone witnessing illegal activity should immediately contact the Emery County Sherriff’s Office or Orangeville City.
