The Outfall sewer line project taking place in Sunnyside is almost complete, according to Mayor Doug Parsons. Final inspection of the project will take place today, ensuring that each part of the project was executed properly.
Also during the council meeting on Tuesday night, a motion was passed to adopt the municipal waste water planning program Sunnyside.
A motion was also passed adopting the required resolution by the Federal Disaster Mitigation and Cost Reduction Act of 2000 for an updated pre-disaster mitigation plan for southeastern Utah.
The city’s treasurer will apply for a scholarship to attend UMCA 2013 Convention in Cedar City in September to expand her treasury education.
Mayor Parson and three other council members will attend the ULCT conference in Salt Lake City.
