Pinnacle hosted the Dugway Mustangs on Friday in a game that was close from start to finish.
The Panthers found themselves up after the first quarter,14-12. After another quarter of play, Pinnacle doubled their lead to go into halftime up 26-22. Pinnacle then had its best offensive quarter of the game. Leading by seven at the beginning of the fourth quarter, the Panthers did just enough to hold on to a 47-43 victory.
Benjamin Scott had a breakout game will 23 points, seven steals and six rebounds. Pinnacle had 21 steals as a team but gave up the ball 16 times on turnovers.
Pinnacle (2-4) will go on a road trip this week. The Panthers will play West Ridge Academy (1-2) on Tuesday and then Wayne (2-5) on Friday.
