Frustration was what Pinnacle Girl’s Basketball Coach Robert Harmon expressed after Friday night’s 35-29 loss in the region matchup against Whitehorse. The Lady Panthers were within four points with less than two minutes on the clock.
The frustration stemmed from the fact that the game was not remotely close for most of the night. Pinnacle was ice cold, unable to score in the first quarter of play and 2-17 at the line. Harmon felt like this was a game the team should have easily won. However, the girls were able to bounce back from being down 15 points to make it a four-point game.
“If they had played the whole game with the intensity they did right at the end, it would have been a different game,” Harmon said after the game. “If we had made even half our free throws we would have easily won.”
He was hoping to be sitting at 3-0 in region action, but instead they team is 1-2.
Harmon is expecting to see a greater effort as the team goes into the next few games, but says that it is in the hands of his girls on how they want to finish the season.
