Huntington Lake was the site of the Region 19 Cross Country Meet that took place on Wednesday.
Whitehorse’s Xavier Martin ran the 5k in 18:12 for first place. Panthers Landen Hardy and Dalton Peirce took third and fourth at 18:28 and 18:49, respectively. Dominic Gutierrez finished in sixth (20:04), Benjamin Scott in eighth (20:11), Raymond Bellamy in ninth (20:33) and Michael Schmitz in 10th (20:36).
The Panthers beat out Whitehorse by three points to claim the Region 19 Title.
McKayla Holiday from Monument Valley blew out her competition in the girls’ race. She finished over two minutes ahead of anyone else with a 20:44 time. Kemery Stuckenschneider led the Lady Panthers in sixth (24:27) followed by Stephanie Sasser in eighth (26:07), Jacee Atwood in 10th (27:25) and Darolani Motte in 12th (29:37).
