Hailey Evans was involved in a two-vehicle accident on Nov. 1 near Soldier Summit. Since then, Evans has been in the hospital in critical condition.
The 20-year-old from Price attempted to make a last minute pass in front of a semi truck just before the passing lane ended. She lost control of the vehicle and swerved into the westbound travel lane. Evan’s car stuck a vehicle in the oncoming lane and was ejected from her car. Evans was flown by Eagle AirMed in critical condition to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. She is expected to remain in a hospital for at least two months.
Locals have now rallied to assist the family during their time of need with various fundraisers. A Facebook page named Fundraiser For Hailey Evans has been created as a means of sharing upcoming fundraisers. Everything from craft to Scentsy fundraisers can be found on the page. Interested parties can join the group to create their own fundraiser or browse for upcoming fundraisers to take part in.
