More than 100 volunteers gathered Saturday morning in Price to help complete projects for the Day of Caring.
Mayor Joe Piccolo spoke to the volunteers as they had breakfast. The large group split up and tackled several projects throughout the area.
Dick Raich said, “We gathered a lot of people together with a common ideas and a common cause to come together to support The United Way, Price City and the Carbon County area.”
Raich continued, “Everything [the local United Way] does is for this community, and it’s great to see so many people stand up and support the community.”
Day of Caring projects included work at Active Re-entry, various landscaping, Wood Hill cleanup, several residential cleanups and various street cleanup projects.
Participants ranged from young to old and included the Utah State University – College of Eastern Utah basketball team.
