What is spring without baseball? What is baseball without hot dogs? And what is Utah State University Eastern without its great community supporters?
Once again, USU Eastern wants to show its thanks by inviting the community to free baseball and hot dogs on March 21, at 1100 North 800 East. Games begin at noon and at 2 p.m. against Colorado Northwestern Community College.
Rally towels will be given out for free to the first 200 fans.
“It’s going to be a great day and a wonderful way to enjoy family and friends while supporting our athletes,” said Alex Herzog, USU Eastern associate vice chancellor for Price Campus Operations. “We love this beautiful community of ours and really appreciate all of the fans and supporters we have had over the years.”
USU Eastern has previously hosted two fan appreciation nights celebrating its men’s and women’s basketball teams. This will be the first event held in the day celebrating the baseball team.
Displays, merchandise and college information will also be showcased throughout the afternoon. Those interested can learn more about the college’s numerous offerings, including degrees and job training opportunities available through USU Eastern. Participants can also learn more about federal programs available that are designed to help make enrolling and financing college easier.
