Junior Kyle Quinton scored a career-high 14 points off the bench in the Carbon Dinos’ 56-43 road win over the Tooele Buffaloes Thursday night.
The Dinos used huge first and third quarters, in which they outscored their opponents 25-14, to pick up the confidence-boosting road victory. Carbon led by as many as 16 points in the game. Cole Fossat chipped in 11 points. In all, six players scored at least six points.
After falling behind by double digits, Tooele made a run in the third quarter and trailed by just four points at the end of the period. Carbon then outscored the Buffaloes 18-9 in the final period to seal the win.
Carbon (4-4, 0-0 Region 12) will host Emery (6-1, 0-0 Region 15) on Monday in the first of two matchups between the teams this season. The game can be viewed live on ETV Channel 10 at 7 p.m.
