The Price City council discussed the consideration of a new emergency communications tower at Wednesday’s meeting. The original 40-foot tower was damaged this past winter and needs to be replaced.
Barry Horsley from Carbon County spoke and gave details of the structure. The proposed tower will be 80 feet tall. The height of the tower will help improve the sight and coverage across the city. This will improve the coverage in the coves area of Price the most, as the signal was weak in the past.
The council approved the motion. The new tower will be located at 375 North 100 West, on top of Wood Hill, within the Public Facilities Zoning District.
