A Carbon County School District school bus hit a parked car on Main Street in Price Thursday morning, causing minor damage.
“Oh, he just turned a little too sharp, nothing serious,” said District Transportation Supervisor Kerry Jensen.
The bus transported Wellington Elementary students to the Crown Theatre for a showing of the movie “The Lorax.” Long lines of people waiting to purchase tickets for the midnight showing of “The Hunger Games,” coupled with increased traffic and confusion were also partially to blame.
“The bus was trying to park, got a little close to another parked car, that’s about all that happened,” Price City Police Officer Daniel Burke said.
Repair costs of the damaged car were not specified.
