Jordan Scoggins did everything in the Carbon Lady Dinos’ 56-38 region win against Juab Tuesday night. She just missed a triple double and nearly notched a quadruple double in the Dinos’ first region win of the year. She ended up with 12 points, nine rebounds, nine assists and six steals.
Carbon came out of the gate swinging in this physical game, leading 14-0 before the Wasps got on the board. Scoggins’ free throw with under a minute remaining in the game gave the Dinos their largest lead at 18.
Katie Basinger led Carbon in scoring with 15, and Shelby Cornforth and Beth Child each chipped in eight.
The Lady Dinos led 29-19 at the half.
Carbon (7-9, 1-2 Region 12) will host Emery (12-2, 4-0 Region 15) on Friday. The Lady Spartans beat the Dinos 40-32 on Dec. 19 in Castle Dale. Friday’s game can be viewed live on ETV Channel 10 at 7 p.m.
