According to Captain Jeff Thomas of the Emery County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 5:50 a.m. on Tuesday morning, a Garry Lund Trucking Company semi-truck traveling on Highway 10 lost a rear trailer tire.
The tire rolled into a black suburban parked at the Sorenson residence just south of the highway. After smashing into the back of the suburban, the tire came to rest in a nearby tree.
“We are just glad that there weren’t any children or bystanders in the area that could have been hurt by the tire,” stated captain Thomas.
