An award was presented to sergeant Ronnie Bogdin at the Carbon County Commission meeting that took place on Wednesday evening.
Bogdin has been a part of the local SWAT team since 2002 and has been steadily climbing the ranks since then. However, the SWAT team member has made the decision to step down in his position but will still be a part of the team in regards to the training of officers.
In speaking about Bogdin, Carbon County Sheriff Jeff Wood stated that he has had to keep himself in top physical condition for the grueling position but has done exceedingly well. Wood stated when he first started work, he looked up to Bogdin.
“Ronnie is a fine example of our SWAT team,” Wood stated. “He steps up and helps out anywhere he is needed.”
Bogdin’s service was recognized with a plaque and a gift card.
