The Emery High Spardettes recently traveled to Richfield to face off against a number of teams and walked away with a major victory.
While at the competition, the team managed to place first in the hip-hop competition while teammate Nancy Dawes took fifth in Drill Down.
“The girls have worked really hard and I feel like they’re accomplishing a lot,” said assistant coach Shelby Bagley. “We just have lots of talented girls so it’s been really fun.”
While a spring show is in the works for the drill team, its next milestone will be a region competition, which will be held next Tuesday, Jan. 24, in Richfield.
“We would love lots of home support and a big crowd,” Bagley expressed.
