The Emery High boys’ golf team recently traveled to Mount Pleasant for the fifth match of the 2018 season at North Sanpete’s home course. While Oakley Toomer and Shaidyn Killpack both played well with final scores of 76 and 98, respectively, the team was unable to secure a top spot and finished with a score of 370.
This placed the boys just above the last-scoring team of South Sevier with 371. The triumphant team of the match was North Sanpete with a score of 317, followed closely by Richfield with 322. Other team scores were Taylor Lindsey with 100, Logan Healey with 99, Devan Guymon, 97, Kavery Killpack, 105, and Wade Huggard, 132.
The latest score brings the team total for the season to 1,805 for the Spartans. The team also met at Manti on Sept. 5, but scores have not yet been released.
The next match for the Spartans is slated for Sept. 13 at South Sevier with a tee time of 11 a.m.
