What appeared to be a tied game changed dramatically in the fourth quarter after Delta’s Sam Clark scored a field goal and took the Delta Rabbits three over the Emery Spartans, changing a previously tied score to 9-6.
Despite their following attempts, the Spartans couldn’t manage to put up any more points and the clock ran out with the Spartans handing the victory to the visiting opponents.
The Spartans’ sole points in the matchup came from Koton Butler’s touchdown in the first off teammate Zach Jorgensen’s 21-yard pass.
Emery will continue their home action on Friday as the team welcomes the Manti Templars to the field. The following week, the team will make the trip to long-time rival Carbon’s field to face off against the Dinos for Carbon’s homecoming game.
