The Emery Spartans narrowly defeated the North Sevier Wolves Friday night in Castle Dale, 57-52, beating their Region 15 foe for the second time this season.
Koby Butler continued his stellar play, pouring in a game-high 23 points. Bryce Dugmore notched a career-high 14 points for the Spartans. Kolton Butler hit the only three of the game for Emery en route to nine points.
After Emery took the first quarter 13-7, the Wolves played nearly even with the #1 Spartans for the rest of the game.
Emery (15-2, 5-1 Region 15, #1 in 2A) will have two away games next week, Wednesday at Grand and Friday at Gunnison.
