Kolton Butler, playing with a broken hand in the tournament, was in double figures with 10 points. He also had eight rebounds. Zac Jorgensen was next with 11 points on 4-8 from the field, including 3-7 from beyond the arc. Starting point guard Bowdie Jacobson was sidelined with an injury.

After a slow first quarter, Emery exploded over the next two quarters to take the 47-28 lead into the fourth and final quarter.

As a team, the Spartans shot 40.4% from the field, going 19-47. They outrebounded the Rams 33-22. Emery held South Sevier to just 26.4% shooting (14-53).

Koby and Kolton Butler, Bowdie Jacobson, and Zac Jorgensen will graduate at year’s end. Collectively, they helped lead the Spartans to an impressive 22-3 season, including a 9-1 mark in Region 15 action. Emery captured the Region 15 crown for the third straight season.
