The Emery Spartans stepped out of Region 15 play for a non-region tilt Friday afternoon against North Sevier, winning the game 7-2.
Emery limited North Sevier to just three hits in the game.
Koda Alton and Colton Willson knocked in four runs combined of the team’s seven. Easton Gordon had two hits in four at bats. Six other players tallied a hit apiece.
Alton also got the win on the mound after going four innings in relief of starter Gordon. Alton gave up just one hit and no runs. Both he and Gordon struck out eight batter apiece.
After the Wolves scored two runs in the first inning, Emery responded with four in the bottom half of the innings. The Spartans then added three more in the sixth to round out the scoring.
