The seventh annual Parking Lot Party was hosted on Friday afternoon at Miner’s Trading Post.
This traditional event, hosted each summer, always benefits East Carbon and Sunnyside’s Bruin Point Elementary School. While there is no cost of admission to attend the event, there are many opportunities otherwise to raise funds.
Traditional games such as a ring toss, fishing pond, dunk tank and more were available for summertime fun. A small carnival swing ride, bounce houses, live music and food were also brought to the party to ensure that there was fun for everyone.
Carbon High School cheerleaders and drill team members ensured that the games, face painting and more were always ready for the next contestant as they assisted and greeted attendees.
“We would like to give a big shout out to Miner’s, all the sponsors and volunteers,” school staff shared following the event.
All funds that were raised at the party will be donated to the elementary school to be used as seen fit for the upcoming school year.
