The Sunnyside City Council decided Tuesday to sign up the City’s firefighters for the State Fireman’s Association.
The fees and dues will be covered by the city. The council also moved to approve a new life insurance agreement for firefighters.
The council discussed raising wages for the EMTs, but low funding quickly quelled talks. Four EMT’s will soon be taking the intermediate class training.
The council moved to released funds to fix potholes.
The council also accepted a donation of a land plot of which the owner was unable to take care.
Three council seats will be up for reelection. The winners will start work on the first of January.
