The Lady Spartans competed in the SVC Tournament in Richfield over the weekend.
At the tournament, Emery lost to Carbon in a close match 2-1 with sets of 14-25, 25-22 and 14-16. The Lady Spartans then fell to Panguitch 2-0 (25-18, 25-14) and North Summit 2-0 (25-17, 25-20).
Saturday started off well for Emery as it defeated North Sevier 2-1 after falling behind with a 20-25 first set loss. Emery came back to win with 25-7 and 15-8 set wins. The Lady Spartans lost their next three matches to Delta (2-0), Enterprise (2-0) and Monticello (2-0).
Up next, Emery (6-19, 0-8 Region 12) will host Richfield (23-5, 6-2 Region 12) on Wednesday in the Spartan Center.
