Students from Castle Dale Elementary’s second and third grade performed the First Thanksgiving program for their parents on Wednesday. The have been practicing for about 1 ½ weeks. Their teachers hoped performing this program would inform the students and parents about the history of the First Thanksgiving.
“The students did a really good job. I think the kids know more about the first Thanksgiving, which was the teachers’ goal,” Commented Colleen Bott.
The students dressed up and used props that some of the parents helped make for their program.
“I’m proud of the time and effort they put in and teaching us all about the first Thanksgiving and learning about themselves,” commented Melinda Durrant.
