Three members of the Price City Council were sworn in for four-year terms on Monday.
Layne Miller, Wayne Clausing and Rick Davis were elected to the council and will look to improve Price City as they serve for the next four years.
“I’ve always been involved in the community and I enjoy community involvement,” expressed Miller. “I wanted to make a difference in this great community I live in.” His comments were similar to Clausing’s as to why he wanted to run for the position.
All three members are passionate about various projects coming up in the next four years. Davis mentioned water conservation, road projects and budgeting such plans as a few of the issues where he is looking forward to offering his expertise. Clausing mentioned road projects and budgeting as well, with the hope of adding another restroom at the opposite end of the Price River Trail. Miller, among others, mentioned helping the temporary homeless community as well as a continued contribution to the Price City Library Board as part of his goals for his upcoming term.
Shared between the three councilmen is a love for Price City and a desire to help it grow and develop. “I’ve had chances to move and I just like Price. I like the people, I like the area,” expressed Miller.
“We’re looking forward to embracing or improving Price City,” Davis stated.
