Wellington Elementary’s top spellers were found during the school’s annual spelling bee on Thursday.
After several rounds, the field was narrowed to the top five. Ashtyn Motte finished the competition in fifth place, followed by Carter Warburton in fourth. Tanner Greenhalgh took third in the spelling bee while Wyatt Liin earned second. Keianna Ghirardo was deemed the school’s top speller as she took home the first place trophy.
Greenhalgh, Liin and Ghirardo will advance to the district-wide competition to represent Wellington Elementary.
