A multi-vehicle accident occurred and resulted in a fire on Tuesday afternoon near Green River. According to authorities, the incident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. on SR-6, near milepost 288.
According to Utah Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling westbound when the driver attempted to pass a Ford F-350 that was pulling a 35-foot, fifth-wheel trailer. The driver of the Tahoe lost control of the vehicle and sideswiped the trailer. This forced the truck and trailer off the roadway and both vehicles rolled.
As a result of the accident, the F-350 and trailer caught on fire. Fortunately, UHP reported that there were no serious injuries.
