Two Wins in One Day

The Lady Dinos had a tough test on Tuesday with two road games against South Sevier and Richfield. First up, Carbon handled the Rams, beating them 4-1.

Lindsey Snow and Lizzy Blackburn each won 6-0, 6-1 in first and second singles, respectively. Audrey Hatch played in third singles, but fell 3-6, 1-6. Both doubles partners were successful. Kaydance Scovill and Laurie Perry won 6-1, 6-3 in first doubles, while Alyssa Ellis and Ella Anderson took care of business 6-1, 6-2 in second doubles.

Richfield provided a much closer match. Snow continued her strong work with a 6-4, 7-6 win. Blackburn was dominate for the second time with another 6-0, 6-1 victory. In third singles, Hatch received a few more lumps with a 1-6, 2-6 loss.

Scovill and Perry also fell in first doubles 2-6, 1-6. Ellis and Anderson came through with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 win in second doubles to aid the Dinos to a 3-2 win over the Wildcats.

Up next, Carbon will continue on the road to play Canyon View on Thursday.
