Soccer 

Carbon Rec and Grako’s Tire Pros have teamed up to make soccer season a little more special. When your child registers for the Carbon Rec soccer program, they will also get a voucher good for one free soccer ball from Grako’s Tire Pros. You need to hurry, though, the soccer balls are limited to the first 180 kids who register and the deadline is Friday, Sept.11. Fees are $22 or $34 with a jersey. Games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday at the Fairgrounds Softball Complex. 

Flag Football

Flag football is for all boys and girls in the first through fourth grades. The fee is $22 or $34 with a jersey. Games will be played on Monday and Wednesday at the Fairgrounds Softball Complex.  

5th-6th Youth Volleyball League

This is a NEW compeititive youth volleyball program offered by Carbon Rec. This is for all girls in the fifth and sixth grades. Teams will play on a seven foot net and use lighter volleyballs. The fee is $60 per child and includes a jersey and spandex shorts. The deadline to register is Monday, Sept. 14.  

Tennis Lessons

Tennis lessons are for beginner to intermediate players. Lesson are for both youth and adults. Lessons will be held on Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30 p.m. on the tennis courts on 300 East in Price. Lessons begin Tuesday, Sept. 15. The fee is $20 per person and includes eight lessons.  

North Springs Rendezvous

Carbon Rec, Carbon County School District and the Boy Scouts of America are hosting the North Springs Rendezvous on Sept. 18  and 19 at the North Springs Shooting Range. The fee is $25 per person and includes camping, range fees, breakfast, lunch and activities. You will get an opportunity to learn about trapping and tanning, dutch oven cooking, the black powder rifle and Utah animals. There will also be Native American games, pioneer games and mountain man music. The registration deadline is Sept. 17.
