Members from Upward Bound visited the Carbon County Ambulance on Tuesday to deliver bags filled with stuffed animals.
Upward Bound is a program the functions in Carbon, Emery and Grand counties to help first generation college or low income children successfully attend school after high school. Program participants recently hosted a drive to gather stuffed animals from the community to donate to the ambulance. The hope is that paramedics can give young children a stuffed animal for their ambulance ride to help make it a less traumatizing experience.
The Upward Bound group presented the Carbon County Ambulance with garbage bags full of donations for their facility.
