US-6 is undergoing safety improvements to add passing lanes from milepost 273 to milepost 290. This project will improve safety and resurface the roadway. Motorists will experience occasional single lane restrictions and lane shifts. Lane widths will be reduced to 11′ Monday-Thursday. Wide loads are encouraged to travel through the area on Friday-Sunday. Work will take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for approximately 60 days. Motorists will encounter lane closures and pilot car operations. Also, there will be approximately 600 feet of road base that motorists will need to traverse.
