USU Eastern Facing Another Round of Budget Cuts

USU Eastern has been battling declining enrollments over the past two years. Funding for higher education from the legislature has also been tight, forcing budgets to be slashed to bare bones.

USU Eastern enrollment has fallen significantly since since 2011. During these two years tuition revenue from over 400 student has been lost.

Over the next few days, Chancellor Joe Peterson will be in meetings and crunching numbers to determine exactly how severe the cuts will be. Until that time, they will be looking at all possible scenarios to minimize the impact to the community, staff, facility and students.
