The USU Eastern men’s basketball team hosted Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) on Thursday. The region opener for the Eagles ended in the Bruins favor as they grabbed a 70-59 win.
The Eagles were hot on the heels of the Bruins throughout the first half until the final three minutes when SLCC capitalized on a turnover to gain momentum. SLCC led 30-23 at the half.
USU Eastern was unable to take the lead in the second as SLCC shut them out 40-36 in the half. Nathaniel Wright led the Eagles with 15 points on the night.
The team will host Snow College on Saturday, Dec. 13. Tip off is scheduled for 5 p.m.
