The USU Eastern rodeo team traveled to Logan over the weekend to compete in the Rocky Mountain Region Rodeo at Utah State University.
Austin Allred finished second in the first round and second in the average for the bull riding event. This impressive placing helps Allred maintain his third place standing in region. Will Magnuson won the short round in the tie down roping event and second in the average. This moves Will into the fourth place in region for tie down roping. Morgan Jensen won the first round in the barrel racing and this helped her keep her lead in the standings.
Both teams, as a whole maintained, their position in region with the women’s team sitting in fourth and the men’s at seventh.
The team will be competing in their final fall rodeo this coming weekend, Oct. 4 and 5, against Utah Valley University in Spanish Fork.
