Dylan Vogrinec recorded wins in both of Carbon’s State Playoff games Saturday in Price.
Vogrinec started the Dinos’ 5-1 victory over Manti in the opener, and he came on in relief in Carbon’s wild, 15-14 victory over Judge Memorial.
The Dinos gave up seven runs over the final two innings in game two, but scored 11 runs of their own over the final three frames to remain undefeated in the tournament.
Jaren McCourt had a monster day at the plate recording a double, triple and home run over the two games.
Bryce Blackbun and Vogrinec each recorded doubles, and Colin Moynier belted a home run.
The wins extended Carbon’s state-best winning streak to 21 games.
The Dinos face off against Desert Hills in the third round at 1:30 on Thursday at Dixie State College in St. George.
