The Carbon County Emergency Management team has confirmed that volunteers are still needed in Wellington. As cleanup continues following mass flooding over the weekend, the emergency management team explained that Pillings Trailer Court is still under a health advisory and volunteers have not been cleared to enter the area. Currently, cleanup efforts are focused in Wellington.
An abundance of supplies have come into the Carbon County Event Center where citizens affected by the flooding are gathering for food, clothing and other supplies. The emergency management center thanked the community for all donations they have received, but ask that donations be discontinued. At this time, there are more than enough supplies to fill the need of flood victims.
Anyone who has suffered property damage, needs help with cleanup or further assistance should contact the non-emergency hotline at 472-HELP.
