The East Carbon Senior Center will host theВ inaugural “We Got Stuff & Pie Sale” on Saturday from 10-2 p.m.В The fundraiser will fund the special project the center puts on during the year.
Volunteers will be serving three types of pie, chocolate mousse, lemon, and coconut cream. Two dollars will get you a piece of pie and a cup of tea or hot coffee. There will also be an indoor yard sale.
“We have everything from A to Z,” said Bonnie Bell, Site Manager of the East Carbon Senior Center.
With this event, Bell is trying to involve the community and host an event others already find enjoyable.
“My mind is always clicking with ideas for fundraisers and these people up here like to yard sale,” she said. “It’s a small community and I thought what a good time of year to give them something to do indoors where everybody can come and socialize and eat a piece of pie while finding treasure.”
Proceeds will help fund the center’s special projects such as helping those in need and to cover the cost of groceries.
