Whitney Dee Wash Grant, age 47, of Ft. Duchesne, passed away February 22, 2019, in Salt Lake City.
He was born on December 9, 1971, in Salt Lake City, to Bernell Arrive and Edmond Wash. He was raised from infancy by Lucille O. and Horace Junior Grant. He was later adopted and sealed to them in the Salt Lake Temple. He spent his growing up years in Wellington. He later lived in Ft. Duchesne and Salt Lake City.
Whitney was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had nearly every hymn in the hymn book memorized and loved singing in the choir. He always had a smile on his face. He had a passion for cooking and doing yardwork. He had beautiful penmanship, and was very artistic.
Whitney is survived by his brothers and sisters, Richard Virgil Burns, Deedra Bancroft, Virgilina (Jose) Orozco, Julie Mair, Wayland Wash, Ricka Purkins, Jerald (Gay) Grant, LuAnn (Steve) Day, Byron (Renae) Grant, Ray (Margaret) Grant, Dixie (Randy) Bird, Eldon (Jackie) Grant, Dale (Elaine) Grant, Cindy Labrum, Carter (Wendy) Grant, Karl (Dona) Grant; aunt, Helen Wash; special friends, Ada Snyder and Patricia Glazier, and numerous other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bradley O. Grant, and Cornell Burns.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary, 457 East 300 North, Roosevelt with a viewing from 10-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park. Condolences may be shared at www.hullingermortuary.com
