Lost Treasures, one of Huntington’s newest businesses, will celebrate its grand opening this week from Thursday to Saturday.
The establishment, which features high-quality used furniture, tools, select sporting goods and special décor items, came about after co-owner Jan Mortensen expressed to a friend a dream she had to open a store that would feature a hodgepodge of items.
After traveling through the small town’s grapevine, the store went from a small joke and a dream to a reality in six to eight weeks. “It all just fell into place,” Mortensen expressed.
“We look for the different and unique,” she continued. Finding their inventory from donations, yard sales or storage units as well as other means, the store is proud to offer shoppers a unique treasure hunt with affordable prices every time they walk through the door.
Lost Treasures is open from 10-6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, with Saturday’s work day ending at two in the afternoon.
