Veteran’s day, November 11, will begin with a veteran’s participation walk on Main Street in Price from 3rd East to 1st East at 9:30 a.m.
All veteran’s are encouraged to participate with the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, National Guard and Marine Corps League for this walk. It will hopefully begin a day of recognition each year for the personnel who defend this country.
Then veterans will assemble at the Dough Boy in the Price City Peace Gardens for a 25-year memorial ceremony with guest speakers beginning at 10 a.m. Students from Pinnacle Canyon Academy will be in the Peace Gardens to do the pledge of allegiance prior to the American Legion presenting the 21-gun salute in honor of all veterans past and present on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. This date and hour began in 1919.
All residents of Carbon County are encouraged to attend these activities.
