A Helper resident trimming trees on 100 West downed at least one power line at approximately 12:15 p.m. Saturday, causing a widespread outage.
Helper Fire Department Captain Gary Harwood said power would be out for about three hours. The outage affected homes and businesses in all of East Helper to Bryner Street in West Helper.
The outage actually lasted until just after 6 p.m.
