On Wednesday afternoon, the Emery County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) announced that the Moab Fire Center is conducting a controlled burn on the mountain southwest of Ferron for the day.
The ECSO expressed appreciation to those that were concerned and notified the dispatch center of the fire. However, the sheriff’s office also stated that there is no need to report the smoke or fire as the situation is under control.
