A freak accident sent a truck barreling down a wash at approximately 10:30 Saturday morning near Aaron’s in Price. According to Price City Police Captain Bill Barnes, a construction worker at the neighboring construction site thought he had put his the manual vehicle into park. He then entered the construction trailer. The truck, in the wrong gear, slowly backed up and went over the edge of the wash. The truck rolled down the 30-foot wash, strewing tools and personal belongings on the way down.
“It does not appear to be suspicious in any way,” comments Barnes. “It was an older truck so there is nothing to be had on an insurance issue.”
No injuries were sustained from the accident. However, Barnes believes the truck, which is almost 20-years-old, will be totaled because of its age.
